2.     Updates on Actions:

 

Water butts – Monies received from Wedmore Community Power Co-Op with thanks. No word from Wedmore in Bloom if all butts have now been ordered or if photos have been requested for a good news press story to the IOW news – Action: SM to ask.

 

Solar 1000 - MSC provided more detail on solar installations thanks to Emily chasing. Action: Steve to update graph to reflect new data.

4.     Solar St Mary’s scheme – David Eccles from the parochial council is working with local experts to create technical drawings, undertake engineering checks and create the Statement of Need. Steve M, via Wedmore Community Power Co-Op has applied for £5000 to a Younity (Octopus Energy) fund to help cover these initial costs.

 

5.     Swift Box project – boxes have been constructed thanks to the Men’s Shed and will soon be installed.

 

6.     Upcoming events:

Willow and Kaye made a lot of excellent suggestions on the flip chart paper at the Kings Award presentation in May. – Steve to approach them to go through their list and suggest ways Green Wedmore can help make them happen.

Russell mentioned he leads the LCN (Local Community Network) for Active Travel and asked the group if he can represent them at meetings. The group agreed.

Wedmore PC Environmental Group – Steve to ask them when their meetings are taking place this year so that a GW rep can attend and contribute.

Cheddar 2 Reservoir project – Steve to approach Helen Gavin from the project to ask if she could present to the group
