Feedback form for Solar St Mary’s closed SM. Feedback all still mainly positive. No further update on the project, still awaiting reply from Historic England for visit.
Leaflets at churches. Date/venue of meeting will be incorrect as of Jan. Will update leaflet with stickers? Action: VBH offered to do this.
Action for SM – is tech for cash possible. Steve discovered Fixy Van is still operating.
Swift Tower – GC has researched of initiatives – ‘Swift Cities’ such as Edinburgh, Oxford and Lancaster. Lots of villages and parish councils declared ‘Swift Villages’. The birds nest almost exclusively in buildings built before 1919. Plan is to create iconic tower, with community involvement and co-design with children/schools involved. Mens Shed to be approached to ask for help with build. We will need funding. Site location remains an issue - need open space, clear line of sight, no traffic. An electronic caller may be needed to encourage. Cameras? Target May?
Repair Café – went well. Was a bit quiet, weather was bad. Raised £160.
3. Finance report
Gail provided a financial report below.
Closing balance £2536.50.
Key headlines – monies in from Repair Café, donations from Sunlit and Somerset Stoves. Outgoings included annual insurance and hire of Village Hall for Repair Café.
